Soooo we've decided to make a fairly significant change of plans - or rather, we decided to do so last week- when we postponed our cross-canada journey in Ontario (to be continued at a later time, perhaps on the way back from Korea). Dan and I were feeling a little overwhelmed with the time restraints as we would have to be in B.C. by the 13th to process our visas, which would require driving from my cottage to Vancouver in about 6 days - not the leisurely, frequently-stopping, see-as-much-as-possible kind of journey that we were planning on. SO when we stopped in Quebec city after seeing Tim in New Brunswick, we took our time to see the sights, including a huge parade celebrating New France as it was in the 1700's. We went on to Ottawa to see Emily & family, and the magnificent Museum of Civilization. On Friday night, we felt like we were back in Nova Scotia again while partying with Emilio in the beer tent at the Highland Games in Glengarry. I don't think I've ever had so much beer poured on me, and still left happy. We spent the last week at my cottage near Bancroft, Ontario, relaxing and doing pretty much whatever we wanted Dan had his first water-ski and made blueberry pie! Needless to say, he is becoming much more popular with the Lavelle family!
Today we are off (with a sad good-bye to my favourite place in the world) and on to Georgian Bay to see Lizard, then up to Sundridge to visit my Aunt Penny & family. I promise to post pictures soon, we are missing everyone and hope you are having a wonderful summer wherever you may be!

I saw Dan's name about the big change of plans and was wondering what was up. Good to get an update! :P
